Stucco Impact Repair for Busy Facades

Storefronts, drive-throughs, loading areas and parking-side walls take hits from vehicles, carts, hail and equipment. We rebuild the damaged stucco or EIFS, close the wall against water and reinforce the zones that keep getting struck.

For property and facility managers

Damage you can see, water you can't

An impact on a commercial wall rarely stops at the dent. On EIFS, a bumper or cart crushes the foam and fractures the base coat, leaving a soft pocket that soaks up rain. On hard coat stucco, a strike can crack the coats well beyond the visible hole and pull the lath off its fasteners. Either way, the damaged area becomes a direct route to the sheathing.

We treat impact damage as a water problem first. We cut out everything that was crushed or loosened, check the substrate for moisture and rebuild the system to the manufacturer's specification. On walls that face parking, drive lanes, cart corrals or dock aprons, we can rebuild with heavier impact-resistant reinforcing mesh in the base coat, so the next minor strike leaves a scuff instead of a hole.

We work on retail centers, fuel stations, hotels, offices and self-storage buildings, and we plan the work so entrances and lanes stay usable. For larger upgrades see stucco system upgrades; for foam-based walls, EIFS repair.

Where commercial walls take the hits

Damage clusters in predictable places, which makes it possible to reinforce them.

Storefront bases

Carts, strollers and floor equipment chip and crush the lower few feet of the facade near entrances.

Lower wall reinforcement

Drive-through lanes

Mirrors, bumpers and trailers clip corners and columns along tight lanes and canopy edges.

Corners take the brunt

Loading & service areas

Forklifts, pallet jacks and dumpsters gouge walls around docks, back doors and enclosures.

Heavy-duty mesh options

Hail & storm debris

Hail pocks EIFS finishes and wind-blown debris punctures upper walls, often across whole elevations.

Whole-elevation survey

Maintenance equipment

Lifts, ladders and landscaping gear leave dents during routine work on the building.

Small dents, real leaks

Hidden moisture

Broken base coat lets water into foam and sheathing, so we probe around every impact before patching.

Matching protection to each zone

Not every wall needs the same protection. Upper walls only need a matched repair. Walls at pedestrian and cart height benefit from a stronger base. Where vehicles regularly come close, mesh alone will not stop a bumper, and physical protection such as bollards or curbs is worth discussing with your site team.

We document each impact with photos and a written scope, which helps managers report damage to owners, tenants or the party responsible for the strike.

Impact repair sequence

From damaged to reinforced

We stage work to keep storefronts open and lanes moving wherever the site allows.

Secure & document

We make loose material safe, photograph the damage and probe the surrounding wall to find how far moisture or cracking spread.

  • Loose pieces removed
  • Photos for your file
  • Extent mapped

Cut out & rebuild

Crushed foam or broken stucco is removed to sound edges, wet substrate replaced and the system rebuilt with the reinforcement chosen for that zone.

  • Sound edges cut
  • Substrate repaired
  • Impact mesh embedded

Finish & reopen

The finish is matched to the facade and any sealant joints at the repair are renewed before barriers come down.

  • Color matched
  • Joints resealed
  • Area cleaned and reopened

Questions & answers

Commercial impact repair questions

What managers, owners and GCs ask after a facade gets hit.

What is impact-resistant mesh?
It is a heavier fiberglass reinforcing mesh embedded in the base coat of EIFS or used to strengthen a stucco finish. Layered at the lower wall, it greatly improves resistance to chips and dents from carts and equipment while keeping the same finish appearance.
Can you repair impact damage while the business is open?
In most cases, yes. We cordon off the work area, keep entrances usable and schedule noisy or dusty steps around peak hours when the site needs it.
Does hail damage EIFS?
It can. Hail can dent the finish and crack the base coat over the foam, which lets water in. After a storm we survey each elevation and separate cosmetic pocks from damage that needs repair.
Can you provide documentation for a damage claim?
We provide photos of the damage and a written scope and quote, which you can pass to your insurer or the responsible party. We do not handle claims ourselves.
How do we schedule an assessment?
Use the estimate form or call (888) 592-1304. After the site visit you receive a scope you can review, approve and track in Jobber.
