House Painting With Repairs Built In

Most painters cover what they find. Because we are stucco and siding specialists, we fix the rot, cracks and failed caulk first, then paint your home inside and out.

Painting by repair specialists

Paint lasts longer on a repaired house

A paint job is only as good as the surface under it. On a typical Georgia home that means a mix of materials: stucco on the front, fiber cement siding on the sides and back, wood or composite trim, and a few spots where water has been getting in for years.

We see those problems before the brush comes out. A soft fascia board, a swollen piece of Hardie siding at the bottom course, a crack running from the corner of a window or caulk that pulled away from the trim all get repaired as part of the job. Our crews do carpentry, fiber cement siding and stucco work, so you do not need three trades to get one house ready for paint.

Inside, we paint walls, ceilings and trim, and repair cracked plaster or drywall first. When a stain on a ceiling comes from an exterior leak, we find and fix that leak before the room is painted. That keeps the new color from showing a ring a few months later.

Surface by surface

Each material needs its own prep

One gallon of paint does not suit every surface on a house. Stucco needs a coating that lets vapor out. Fiber cement wants a quality acrylic over a primed, sealed surface. Bare wood must be primed with a product that blocks tannins, and interior plaster has its own primer.

We match the product and the prep to each material, then keep the color consistent across them so the house reads as one finished whole.

Questions & answers

House painting questions

What homeowners ask before hiring us to paint.

Do you paint houses that are not stucco?
Yes. We paint homes with fiber cement, wood and mixed siding, plus all the trim and interiors. Stucco is our specialty, but most houses have more than one material.
What happens if you find rot while prepping?
We show you photos and a price for the repair, and you approve it in Jobber before we continue. Painting over soft wood only hides the problem for a short time.
Can you paint the inside of my house too?
Yes. We paint walls, ceilings and trim, and we repair cracked plaster and water-stained ceilings first. If the stain came from a roof or wall leak, we deal with that leak too.
How long does an exterior paint job take?
It depends on the size of the home, the repairs needed and the weather. Paint needs dry conditions and the right temperature, so we plan around rain and give you a schedule once the scope is set.
